Creating a healing space at home has transformed the ordinary corners of my apartment into little sanctuaries for wellness, rest, and inspiration. I never used to care much about home décor—work kept me too busy to notice the clutter. But this year, I made it my mission to tidy up and bring more calm into daily life.
I focused on three main areas, and you can see my progress in the photos I’ve uploaded above. Each space makes me smile now, and I hope sharing these ideas helps anyone stuck in a busy city apartment, longing for a little more peace.
1. Supplement Storage: Clean, Calm, and White
I started with my supplements—a jumble of bottles and boxes that always made the countertop look messy, no matter how much I tried to hide them. Now, with two new stackable storage boxes—one large, one small—everything has its place. White is the main theme in my home, and these boxes blend seamlessly, making the shelf look larger, brighter, and so much calmer. Picking out what I need each day feels less chaotic and more like a small ritual for self-care.
2. Rectangular Harmony and Wellness Table: My Healing Corner
Across from the round table, I set up a rectangular dining table that’s dedicated to harmony, wellness, and those rituals that make the space feel like my sanctuary.
On this table, as shown in the photo, I arranged a few special items that embody my healing journey:
- Crystals: Gifts from a colleague now have their own radiant spot, after being tucked away for so long. When the light hits just right, their subtle sparkle is a daily reminder of encouragement and hope.
- Woven baskets: These add warmth and texture, while keeping supplements, small items, and personal care products organized and easy to find. The earthy look of the baskets balances out the clean white theme and gives a touch of nature inside.
- Diffuser: Filling the air with calming scents, the diffuser sets the mood for relaxation and mindfulness. Whether it’s a soft lavender for morning calm, or something zesty during the day, it’s more than aromatherapy—it’s a ritual cue to pause and breathe.
This rectangle table is my “wellness altar”—a space for intention, peaceful meals, journaling, or just sitting in quiet reflection.
This corner isn’t just about order; it’s about tending a little “wellness altar” where I pause, breathe, and sometimes just admire how the light catches each crystal.
3. Circle Glass Table: Simple Centerpiece and Everyday Practicality
The round glass table is the heart of the living room—a modern, minimal centerpiece that reflects light and helps the apartment feel open and airy. At first, I found cleaning the glass a bit stressful, trying to keep it spotless. To soften the look and make cleaning easier, I now layer a simple custom white mat over the glass. This mat not only protects the surface, but brings a gentle, understated touch that keeps the center of the room feeling welcoming without the clutter or glare.
The circle table is all about casual daily use—meals, fleeting conversations, maybe a quick snack after a long workday. Its round shape helps everyone gather, encouraging connection and casual togetherness.
3. Yoga and Laundry: Function Meets Flow
In another corner, I finally tackled the yoga mats, laundry, and workout gear. I bought a simple white basket to hold mats, blocks, and other essentials so they’re easy to reach and don’t clutter the floor. Next to it, my laundry basket is always ready, but fits the white-on-white look, keeping things streamlined and neat.
Challenges and Next Steps
My next challenge is taming the electronics and cleaning appliances (hello, Miele vacuum and steamer!). I’m planning a cabinet where these can live out of sight, alongside clothes that tend to pile up when life gets hectic. I learned that coat stands only look stylish if you keep just a few pieces out—less is definitely more!
I’m also dreaming of mounting the TV, removing the bulky cabinet, and creating extra space for the living area. Bit by bit, it feels like my healing space at home is taking shape.
Lessons from My Healing Space Makeover
The process wasn’t always easy or glamorous, but every step brought me closer to a home that supports my wellbeing. Here’s what I discovered:

- White décor and organized storage create instant calm, making small spaces feel bigger
- Keeping meaningful items (like crystals and diffusers) visible lifts my mood
- Baskets, mats, and covers add texture and warmth
- Tackling one area at a time is less overwhelming
- Small changes add up—a cozy, healing space at home is possible, even in a tiny apartment
If you’re on your own tidying or healing journey, start with what feels doable. Choose colors and textures that bring peace, let go of clutter, and create corners that invite you to rest and recharge.
Feel free to use my makeover photos as a visual guide. Your healing space at home can be whatever you need—a place for vitamins, quiet moments, or creative energy. Let’s keep inspiring each other, one tidy corner at a time!
